We have recently made some changes to our admission requirements across most postgraduate coursework programs at ANU. Earlier, our admission requirements for postgraduate coursework programs were listed as:
"must present a Bachelor degree or international equivalent with a minimum GPA of XX/7.0"
However, with immediate effect, following is being added to the current admission requirements:
The GPA for a Bachelor program will be calculated from (i) a completed Bachelor degree using all grades and/or (ii) a completed Bachelor degree using all grades other than those from the last semester (or equivalent study period) of the Bachelor degree. The higher of the two calculations will be used as the basis for admission.
Applicants must still present a Bachelor degree or international equivalent that meets the minimum GPA requirement of the program they are applying for. However, the minimum GPA of the Bachelor qualification required to be admitted into a postgraduate degree is now assessed in two ways:
A completed Bachelor degree using all grades and/or
A completed Bachelor degree using all grades other than those from the last semester (or equivalent study period) of the Bachelor degree
The completed bachelor degree must be presented by the application closing date for the intake for that GPA to be used for admission.
Our Programs and Courses website is being updated to reflect this addition. Please note that this is currently an ongoing process and you may find some programs and courses still with previous admission requirements. We request you to please disregard them and follow the new admission requirements.
