大学的乡村健康发展学院正加快提交申请，设立2000澳元的活动基金用于帮助乡村的健康发展。

　　这项种子基金目前已经准备就绪，用于乡村健康周活动。

　　乡村健康周将从2007年9月3日持续到9日，策划小组将举行一系列有关健康和福利的活动。

　　另外值得一提的是这次健康周还设立了乡村健康大奖，以鼓励当地为健康和福利做贡献的人们。候选人奖项有以下两大类：乡村健康社区奖以及乡村健康专业奖。提名将于6月29日结束。

　　2007年乡村健康周是塔斯马尼亚州首次在州际范围内举行的此类型活动。目的在于展示在乡村对于健康发展所作的努力。同时对于那些地区，这次活动也是个机遇，通过“庆祝乡村健康”的主题，向世人展示他们对于健康和福利的关注和渴望。

　　The University Department of Rural Health (UDRH) is urging the community to submit their applications for a seeding grant of up to $2,000 to fund local activities to promote rural health in their communities.

　　Seeding grants of up to $2,000 are now available to support Rural Health Week Regional

　　Planning Groups to stage health and wellbeing activities in their communities during

　　Rural Health Week from 3 to 9 September 2007.

　　Another highlight of Rural Health Week is the Rural Health Awards to acknowledge local champions in health and wellbeing. Nominations are now being called for in two distinct award categories: Rural Health Community Award and Rural Health Professional Award. Don’t miss the chance as nominations also close on 29 June.

　　Rural Health Week 2007 is the first State-wide rural health event of its kind in Tasmania.

　　The aim of Rural Health Week is to showcase the diverse ways in which rural communities in health are working together. It is also an opportunity for rural communities to tell their stories in the way that best reflect their communities’ interests and aspiration about health and wellbeing under the theme “Celebrating Rural Health”.
