University hosts Web conference - 18/06/2007
How technology is changing the way we live and work, animation and the Web and the increasing use of the Web as a marketing tool are all topics that will be discussed at the annual AusWeb Conference in Coffs Harbour from June 30 to July 4.
The Australian World Wide Web Conference, hosted each year by Southern Cross University, brings together participants from the information technology, education and business sectors and will feature speakers from Australia and overseas.
The five-day event, at Coffs Harbour’s Novotel Pacific Bay Resort, will include a range of pre-conference workshops and tutorials which are open to all members of the public.
Conference chair Associate Professor Allan Ellis, from Southern Cross University’s School of Commerce and Management, said the conference and workshops would be of interest to people in a variety of fields.
The workshops will cover topics such as building better presentation skills, music and voice over the web, online communities and interactive software such as Elluminate Live!
