Chinese State Councilor Liu Yandong met here Thursday with members from outside the Chinese mainland attending the 10th meeting of the Advisory Board of Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management (SEM).

Liu expressed gratitude to the advisory board for its active role in China's development and college construction, and applauded the members' efforts in promoting exchanges and cooperation between China and renowned global corporations as well as overseas universities.

Liu also talked about China's current economic situation and development progress during the past six decades.

The Advisory Board of the Tsinghua SEM, set up in 2000, consists of business leaders, politicians and scholars from the world's leading multinational corporations and academic institutions.
