Big Bend Community College Athletics is pleased to announce the dates for three camps for area students to attend.  Children interested in playing volleyball and girls basketball are invited to sign up for one of the BBCC summer camps.  All three camps are taught by Vikings head coaches and members of the BBCC teams.  Space is limited, register early.
Volleyball camp begins June 16 and goes through June 18.  This camp is for both girls and Campers should wear athletic gear including t-shirt, shorts, athletic shoes and kneepads.
The philosophy behind Big Bend Community College Volleyball Camps is to provide campers with a fun and educational environment where the campers can learn and develop their skills.  Campers receive personal instruction on all individual skills and learn to apply those skills in game-like situations and drills throughout the sessions.

Girls interested in basketball have two camp options.  Campers are invited to attend one or both camps. The first camp will run June 21-25 and the second camp runs July 19-23.  The camp is available to girls in grades 3-10. Camp cost is $105.00 with discounts for those who wish to attend both camps and for siblings.
The camp is designed to concentrate on skills such as passing, shooting, ball-handling, defense, rebounding, screening, etc. More experienced players will be drilled in more advanced techniques.  Players will be divided into groups according to age and skill level.  Fundamentals of the game will be taught, demonstrated and drilled every day.  Players will get to apply those skills during the week with daily games in 1-on-1, 3-on-3 and 5-on-5 team play!
