About the Role In this exciting new role, our Marketing Manager for China will define and deliver our media, content, communication and digital strategies – all of which will support our aims to both retain and engage existing Members, and to acquire new Members. With responsibilities spanning media and public relations; events; the management of all of our digital channels including social media, email and our website; and the production of both print and online marketing collateral, this is a fast paced and varied role where you will focus on delivering high quality and proactive marketing interventions in collaboration with your colleagues across China and in our Marketing and Digital teams in the UK. About You We’re looking for someone who has significant experience in a generalist marketing role, including management of marketing, media and PR campaigns. Experience of managing digital content and platforms, including websites, emails and social media is key; along with experience of managing face to face and virtual events. You will have an ability to understand marketing positioning, brand perception and communication messaging, and how marketing activities support the delivery of the CIOB’s broader aims and objectives. With an excellent level of written and spoken English, allowing you to communicate effectively with colleagues in the UK and around the world, you will have the ability to build and maintain excellent relationships, strong IT and digital skills, and the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels to deliver marketing campaigns that add value. About the Role The Qualifications Liaison Manager collaborates with hubs and staff members within China to carry out the Strategic Education Engagement Model objectives. Promoting CIOB qualifications to students, apprentices, and academics, you will work with colleges and higher education providers to embed programmes and membership routes into further and higher education courses. You will identify opportunities and products that meet the needs of Chinese construction professionals in preparing to work internationally. Alongside this, you will promote the construction industry and routes into professional roles to young people in schools, universities and university technical colleges, with a focus on promoting the role of the CIOB in preparing Chinese construction professionals to work internationally. You will also work closely with the National Board of Construction Management Accreditation (NBCMA) to form reciprocal relationships; and provide training to education establishments and employers for the delivery of CIOB programmes and assessments. About You We’re looking for someone who has significant experience in an education environment, promoting education products and qualifications. You’ll have experience of working directly with students, graduates, university management and academic staff and other customers to provide information and advice on qualifications and professional roles in construction, and have experience of training and implementing education programmes, developing products and standards. The role also requires someone with excellent presentation skills, sound IT and digital skills, and the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels to meet skills needs and promote CIOB qualifications and programmes.
