美国留学须知:2013-2014美国大学网申系统两大变化

  美国大学网申系统Common Application(缩写Common App)是美国大学本科入学网上申请的一站式网站。申请人在填写common application的表格后,不用再单独填写每个学校的申请表,即common application通过统一各个学校的申请表格和文书题目大大简化了原本繁琐的申请程序。

  2013-2014美国大学通用申请CommonApp系统有很大变化,系统将于2013年8月1日正式上线。Common Application 2013-2014年变化具体表现如下:

  变化一:新增39所学校加入美国CommonApp家庭

  其中,普渡大学Purdue University、佐治亚理工Georgia Institute of Technology、天普大学Temple University也在新增列表中。

  变化二:更新2013-2014年度CommonApp题目

  1.Some students have a background or story that is so central to their identity that they believe their application would be incomplete without it. If this sounds like you, then please share your story.

  2.Recount an incident or time when you experienced failure. How did it affect you, and what lessons did you learn?

  3. Reflect on a time when you challenged a belief or idea. What prompted you to act? Would you make the same decision again?

  4. Describe a place or environment where you are perfectly content. What do you do or experience there, and why is it meaningful to you?

  5. Discuss an accomplishment or event, formal or informal, that marked your transition from childhood to adulthood within your culture, community, or family.
