詹姆斯库克大学2007年年中入学的截止日期为6月29日星期五。
对于想提交本科7月申请的学生须登陆昆士兰高等入学中学（QTAC）的网站，而研究生申请者须亲自前来大学。
虽然詹姆斯库克大学已经招收了281人入读本科课程，但除了医学、健康与分子科学学院外，其它所有的领域都还可以招收更多的学生。
大学的4个学院全都招收研究生。
大学还开设了短期课程，为学生提供“尝鲜”的机会，可以在决定学习课程之前试读一段时间。
不具有12年级学历的成年学生，但具有工作经验或像TAFE这种非大学的学历，可以学习会计专业。

年中入学的学生将于7月末开始学习课程，新生适应周于7月23日开始。

Doors closing on mid-year uni entry
Applications close on Friday (June 29) for people wanting to begin their studies at James Cook University this year.
To be eligible for the July offer round of undergraduate places applications have to be lodged with QTAC. For post-graduate study the applications need to be forwarded to the University.
The University has already offered undergraduate places to 281 people but there is room for more in nearly all areas of study except the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Molecular Sciences.
Post-graduate places are available in all four of JCU's Faculties.
Many of the courses are available part-time or in block mode and others can be done from home through "distance learning".
There are also shorter courses, which can give people the chance to "taste" tertiary education before committing to a full degree.
Mature age students do not have to have completed Year 12 to apply to enrol at University as work experience and/or non-university qualifications like those from TAFE can be taken into account.
JCU offers more than 300 courses at undergraduate and post-graduate levels. The range of study areas is one of the most comprehensive in Australia from accounting to zoology, creative arts to tourism, IT to pharmacy.
Students entering at Mid-Year will begin their studies at the end of July, with Orientation Week running from July 23.
