China Education Expo 2009

China Education Expo 2009, approved by Ministry of Education and sponsored by China Education Association for International Exchange(CEAIE), will be open its door to all that wishing to study abroad on 17 October, 2009 and will cover Wuhan, Shanghai, Chengdu and Guangzhou in the following weeks.

The event have been viewed as an opportunity for overseas school to expand their presence in the world's potentially largest recruitment market, therefore have been sponsored by 17 national groups including Argentina, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Russia, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, the Netherlands and UK.

Apart from information booths where visitors will be able to collect relevant information from representatives of the participating institutions, presentations will also be made where students can find out more about study opportunities and scholarship programmes.

As one of the leading events dedicated to recruitment market in China, it will continue to provide a cost-effective platform to meet face-to -face with your targeted visitors. It is also set to present our exhibitors a great opportunity to showcase the quality programs, courses and curriculum with international perspectives, thus offering the best career prospects possible to our Chinese students.

Country Pavilions to Generate the Visibility

China Education Expo 2008 saw 17 national group participations from Argentina, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Russia, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, the Netherlands and UK. These countries highlighted what they could offer to the Chinese students, presenting a world of opportunities for every student who wishes to increase his horizons. The visitor flow last year suggested that country pavilions become the trusted source of information and insight that put your schools into perspective. By consolidating your quality schools in the pavilion, the national brands will generate more visibility, thus your schools will ultimately profit from it in this international education event.

Credibility Makes a Difference

Throughout the past 9 years, the organizer has aimed at bringing truly quality schools to China Education Expo, putting the worldwide education excellence in the spotlight, letting the face-to-face interaction work to the advantage of exhibitors and visitors. Last year’s survey reported that 65% of visitors came to this event mainly for “face-to-face communication with credible and quality schools”, therefore the event is becoming a reliable platform where governmental agencies, credible schools, educators and visitors will get an in-depth look on the most talked-about issues in a variety of topics relating to studying-abroad.

Send Your School Representative, Get Things Done

Last year’s survey showed that 63% of visitors in Beijing and 66% in Shanghai wished to sign up directly with overseas schools and conduct the procedures individually, rather than through any agents.

With Chinese students being well prepared academically and mentally for studying-abroad, overseas school representatives are set to take an even more leading role to offer our students a whole range of information and interactive services. The representatives who are exclusively available to our students will attract quality students and improve the networking, thus increasing student enrolments.

Your representative will make your schools stay one step ahead of knowing what is going on around you and China.

Financial Crisis Brings Opportunities

According to our survey, last year saw 10,200 more visitors, increased by 15% to 78,000 for the whole tour, compared with 67,800 visitors at 2007. It is partly because more students are showing intention to study abroad in 2008 than before due to economic reasons, such as the appreciation of the Chinese RMB.

The on-going financial crisis has also resulted in a significant increase in unemployment and difficulties in finding jobs. Therefore, many students believe that studying abroad and earning a higher degree will help build their future careers in a competitive world.

Our 2008 survey reported that among the visitors from high schools, colleges, universities and graduate schools, university students are the leading forces, with Beijing registering 65% and Shanghai 71%, and more importantly, 70% of them in Beijing and Shanghai are ready to go abroad within one or two year’s time.

A Short Cut to Your Recruitment

Some 130,000 Chinese students go to study in foreign countries every year. Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou are the cities with the largest number of those students in China.

Our 2008 survey confirmed that the overwhelming majority of visitors are the visitors on the local level, amounting to more than 80% in Beijing and Shanghai, therefore going nationwide selectively will serve as a short cut to your future recruitment.

China Education Expo 2009 will start with Beijing and cover other 4 regional hubs – Wuhan, Shanghai, Chengdu and Guangzhou, the cities, that you cannot miss out, will maximize your exposure and minimize your time and budget.
