Russian President Dmitry Medvedev on Sunday attended the third anniversary of Moscow School of Management Skolkovo, hailing the school, which aims to nurture Russia's next generation of modern entrepreneurs, as an "outstanding project."
"I think that is really an outstanding project, a project that has no analogues in our country," Medvedev told a gathering of big-name Russian entrepreneurs and a first batch of full-time MBA students.
The Russian president expressed his hope that there would be more such projects in the country in the future.
The Moscow school of management was established in 2006 and financed by several Russian and international companies, including the Russian Sberbank, Credit Suisse and the British oil giant BP. The Russian president himself is the head of the International Advisory Board.
The goal of the school is to produce the best talents to better cater to the needs of a growing economy, with its major focus on research in business activities in emerging markets such as Russia,China and India, Alexander Abramov, chairman of the Board of Directors of Russian steel giant Evraz and co-founder of the school, told Xinhua.
Anton Saraykin, a newly enrolled MBA student, said that attending the school will make him savvy how to do business with China.
"I believe that with the help of Skolkovo, I will get some more business background and more experience, somehow to help Russia and China to cooperate more closely and more effectively," he said.
